From the Archive: Balm for the Soul in These Weighty Times
Dear readers, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful and light-filled holiday season and to thank you for your support of my writing—in what ever way you are able to express that.
As many of you know, I’ve been preoccupied with Rosalie Bertell these days (and a new puppy named Rosie) and so I have not gotten to writing anything new to mark the season and the return of the light, so please accept this re-posting of something from the archive —from last year around this time.
I am still in love with the song, Lost Words Blessing and I think I always will be, and there is still a lone male cardinal that comes to our feeder. He seems to appear during the darkest days of November when we are in desperate need of a reminder that all is not lost.
Hold your loved ones close and try not to lose sight of the glorious wonder of being alive.
Talk again in 2025.
